Tagged onto this to save opening a sights thread for one post, from Monday 29th June (second last day of the month!) A Dual door ex Metroline Dart/Plaxton, in full Metroline low floor bus livery (minus the actual Metroline logo) was working the 388.

Fully blinded though. I did spot two with clipboards around the corner from the bus station...  :D (VOSA usually hunt in packs of two).

Further to this, and the post re June movements at EnsignBus, the acquisition is R148 RLY.

Maybe. I did spot it on the 388. Look out for it perhaps being painted at some point soon... or, perhaps, is it a float to allow the rest of the buses to go one at a time?

Please also note that Trustybus has now moved depot; from Perry Road to River Way in Harlow.

I understand this happened back in May '09.

To be honest, the Perry road depot was tucked away in a little corner, with no sign writing. However, at Perry road, there is two big signs, one displaying Galleon Travel, and one displaying Trustybus.

According to the Intalink website, Galleon Travel including Trustybus has been bought by Centrebus! I hope they dont change the livery to Centrebus!  :-[

Me too, the new livery is way better than  the Centrebus livery.  More of Trustybus's vehicles are appearing in the new livery, and I do really respect the company.

By the way, Darts LN03AYL, LN03AYM and EU04BZY have had LED boards fitted, most likely of the ex Diamond Excels and Chesterbus Darts

Yes the GalleonTravel bus operation with 20 buses passed to Centrebus Ltd from Monday 24 August and will be known as Centrebus Harlow.  The small coach operation (just 4 coaches) also passed to the "Centrebus Group" in the form of Galleon Travel 2009 Ltd (a new licence with the Leicester address).   The main Galleon Travel Ltd licence, ubder which Trustybus operated, ceased last weekend.   The routes 7/7A which had been won by Centrebus and the 319 by Galleon Travel are due to begin next week on 1st Sept, and will now be worked by the Harlow unit.  The new former London General Darts bought last month  R462 and R484 LGH are now in Centrebus livery with Trustybus names, and one Solo V110LVH has transferred from Bowers (also a Centrebus company in Derbyshire).

So will the Trustybus livery and names disappear for sure?

Looks that way.

I really liked the new Trustybus livery. It would of been mice to see one of the MCV Evolutions in that livery.

However, Centrebus doesn't operate any MAN Optare Vectras, ADL Enviro 200, Dennis Marshall Capitals or MCV ADL, so it would be interesting to see what happens next

The fleet will adopt Centrebus livery but the Trustybus name will remain for the time being.

Optare Soo V110LVH seen working service 351. Darts R462LGH and R484LGH seen in new livery, working routes 319, 351 and 7/7A. Also, MCV Dart ae55mvl, still in Silver/Blue livery, was seen working route 7/7A

Dart R141RLY  now has a LED board. It was parked up most of the day, an it looked empty when I came back from the MOT test station at around 11am. However, ther were two drivers in it at around 3pm, when I dropped off some tools at the MOT test station. It was also joined by one of Centrebus livered Darts, R484LGH

Dart DPL1 LN03AYL has been referbished. It is now in the Trustybus livery, and I believe that it has been referbished inside aswell. It looks good, especially with the rear light lens silver surrounds, and the LED board. It has been seen on routes 700, and school 319. This will most likely be the last vehicle to be painted into Trustybus livery.

No Centrebus fleet numbers have been introduced onto the Trustybus fleet, but the Centrebus livered Trustybus allocated vehicles have been numbered, with the three numeral numbers of the registration plate, ie Dart R484LGH is 484

The new fleet numbers are still no being used- Trustybus fleetnumbers still in use on all vehicles.

The reason on why Centrebus brought Trustybus was that Trustybus was in debt.
John Podgorski's Busmopolitan page has more information on this matter.

MCV Evolution AE55MVL and Dennis Dart R141RLY are now in Centrebus livery, with Centrebus fleet names and Centrebus fleet numbers. RLY was in the new style Trustybus livery, while MVL was in silver/blue livery. All other vehicles, have now had Centrebus added, and Trustybus removed from the LED destination boards.

Agreed! Im a big fan of the Trustybus livery (on this bus, and the others too). Its a shame to see it go   :(
The Centrebus livery isnt too bad, i think it looks quite good, but not as good in comparison.

I think you'll find that due to the way LED blinds work, often a digital camera only captures part or none of whatever is being displayed. With some cameras its possible to adjust the camera (or so I'm told) so that it can capture the blinds, however this often leads to a less good picture overall.

Ive been advised in the past to slow the Shutter Speed (Like you would do on a night shot) and the desty's tend to come out it only seems to be a problem with Brightech's even though Hanover are a problem with deciding to flick on and off depending on when you hit the button to take a picture and the lighting aswell.

Its currently at their Halifax depot, I know someone who has just started working there and apparently its there to provide cover until four 59 plate Tempos arrive at the end of February.
