Title: X22
Post by: Steves on March 08, 2010, 11:24:19 AM
I ended up seeing several X22 workings yesterday.  The vehicles used were 20102 N602NPU in a scruffy Coachlink livery and 20351 WA05UNG which is in the full X22 livery (as FEC Excel).  20351 appears to have disability access equipment fitted so is possibly off National Express work (?)

The service now runs through to Clacton which was new me but only runs every two hours or less - there are some three hour gaps.

As far as I'm aware 20531 was part of a batch First ordered for services in Wales and was never used for NatEx work.

20351-3 were used on the X4 in cornwall i believe and never have been on NatExp work. The B7Rs are wheelchair friendly on paper though they hardly ever work.
Normally least one of them off the X22 ie why 20102 (N602APU) is on loan from Counties (even though it retains its coachlink branding) and yes is in a very shabby condition!
The Service was extended to Clacton only to base the X22 from there as colchester isnt big enough to cope with it anymore, so Clacton depot got control of the X22. HTH

Apparently, you guys have got N602 APU back from First Eastern Counties.

Yeah apparently 20102 went back after being here for a short spell with us at Norwich and was ment to be used on R.R.S but i dont think it made it all week and only did a few R.R.S turns...... and we were left to Keep our 20500/1 back hopefully Glagows could send the full set back but i would be dreaming for anything like that to happen!

Clacton depot also now has Scania/Wright Solar 62407 ex Colchester as another "back up" for the X22.
