Title: Best Open-top rides
Post by: TCD813 on August 23, 2019, 10:12:47 AM
Spotted this and thought it worth sharing.

10 of the UK’s best open-top bus rides, Phoebe Taplin, The Guardian, Wed 21 Aug 2019 06.30 BST (https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/aug/21/10-best-open-top-bus-rides-uk-sightseeing-seafronts)

Sadly, the author has omitted to note which services can be used with a concessionary pass.

The photo, displayed via a link to the Guardian, is of GoAhead, Morebus 1706 HJ16HTC on Route 50, Purbeck Breezer (https://www.morebus.co.uk/services/SQ/50). I have ridden this service, one sunny day in April 2016, before this vehicle entered service, using my codger pass, returning via Swanage Railway (https://www.swanagerailway.co.uk) to Corfe Castle and Breezer 40 to Poole (https://www.morebus.co.uk/services/SQ/40).

On a more negative note, don't try to do this one at the moment.  The Sandbanks ferry is out of action - until at least September, I understand.  The service currently runs non-stop via Wareham and Corfe Castle
