Oxford Tube - Reg changes
« on: May 29, 2009, 06:44:32 PM »
Hi All

Whilst in Oxford on Wedensday,i noted, amongst others,Neoplan thingie OX04BZP, 50124 i think is the fleet number, before this was one of the TxxUBE lot.

Saw a few others like this aswell, so can only assume the TxxUBE job lot have now disbanded in favour of the OX04 reg plates.

Rob

I think new vehicles are imminent and will take the cherished plates.

Don't think so- Neoplan don't make RHD Skyliners any more to the best of my knowledge. They may go for Bova/Berkhof Synergy coaches or perhaps 15 metre Panthers? Only time will tell!

Definatly not more Neoplan's, all the current fleet (Megabus & Tube) are to go to Scotland for Longer distance express work.

I've been told that the Replacements are to be B12's with Berkhof double Deck bodys (Axial?) these were supposed to origionally be Van Hool's bit has apparently been change, also due (July/August) are 13 more Panther B12 Tri-axles to Replace the Megabus B10M's at Rugby (54050-62)

With regard to Panthers of 15m on the tube, I don't thice OBC would allow these in Gloucester Green would they, backing one out would be a right pain in the butt. Unless the layover bays are shifted elsewhere.
