Parking at Bury St Edmunds bus station
« on: August 12, 2009, 09:33:36 AM »
A few weeks ago the local council posted notices in the layover bays at Bury bus station giving notice of proposed revisions to the allowed waiting times for all vehicles.

A maximum waiting time of 10 minutes on the loading bays is to be imposed with a maximum of 45 minutes waiting in the layover bays.

Exceeding these new times will incur the issued of fixed penalty tickets. (Presumably the parking attendants patrolling the adjacent car park will also cover the bus station).

Mulleys, who customarily left some school buses in the layover bays for a few hours during the middle of the day, have made alternative arrangements for some buses to be parked at King Edward School bus turning circle at the top of Spring Lane from September.

The council erected these new signs in the layover bays at Bury St Edmunds bus station today (10 September).
