A very clever 167 (Docklands Buses) driver on a Loughton turn drove through the clearly ungritted and very snowy area of Loughton Bus Station, so got stuck. Kept revving the engine to get out until black smoke started pouring out.

Blue Triangle single-door DP207 on Essex route 804 today, rather than the usual single-door DP206. DP206 has the full blinds for the 804, but DP207 doesnt have any blinds, except the paper ones on the windscreen. Im guessing DP206 wasnt operating the service because of a breakdown, MOT, etc or something like that.

27/3/10:
London Central "WVL" B7TL/Wright LX06 ECA on N551 - usually Docklands Scania Omnicity 'decker.
I understand that Camberwell garage does occasionally cover on N551.

The usual Northern Counties Palatine/Volvo Olympian NV116 (P916RYO) used for both school routes 804 and shoppers bus 575 has been withdrawn,
http://martinruthe.fotopic.net/p63194803.html

and replaced by Northern Counties Palatine 2/Volvo Olympian NV183 (R383LGH) from London General
http://martinruthe.fotopic.net/p63795652.html

I saw NV183 in Loughton operating school route 804 (which is also available to general public) last week, still in London General livery. Unfortunatly since the Go-Ahead takeover, BT have lost there reputation for clean tidy buses I think.

Interesting, seeing as I saw this bus nearly everyday on the 804, and i even had a ride on it on the 575.

Since DB won route 300, the brand new Enviro200s have been appearing on the 167, with the 167/549 MCVs appearing on the 300. I just wish DB would just put the ugly, annoying, and really badly vibrating MCVs on the 300, and give the 167 those nice Enviro200s!  ;D

Today, I rode LDP71 (R471LGH) on the 167. Not an odd observation, but this bus has been appearing on the 167 as an extra bus due to the Gants Hill roadworks. It is one of the oldest buses operating London Buses routes, so i'm making the most of it before the 167's temporary timetable is withdrawn, as LDP71 will probably soon follow.
