Regal fleet updates
« on: December 17, 2009, 10:29:02 PM »
Dennis Dart SLF registered S510SJM has been acquired. I cant find any infomation about the history of this bus on the web.

Dennis Darts J105 DUV and L4 YTB have been withdrawn.

Leyland Olympian B714HVO is still in the fleet, much to my surprise, and has been renumbered 1202.

Are you sure that it isn't R510 SJM, which was new to Tellings Golden Miller?

Oh it must be that then, thanks  :)  . I got the info from Buses magazine, which must of made the mistake.

Here it is in Chelmsford and has been painted into Regals new livery. I cant work out if its better or worse than the previous livery  :-\

Not sure where to put this, as it is not a 'fleet update' .

Here is the first picture (i think) of Regal's operations on the now Saturday only H1 (Loughton to Harlow). The bus shown is 611 (X211 ONH)

http://kevin-smith.fotopic.net/p63032620.html. Has many new parts, obviously in preparation on repainting into the new livery. Also, blind box removed, possibly to replace with an LED board.

Regal 611 has had a LED display for quite a while.  Suspect it hasn't been programmed with the H1 display (or it may have been u/s). Hence the board in the windsreen.

Another Solo SE has joined the fleet, YJ60KDX which is shown at Optare in Leeds, with the new Regal Busways (which i'm not too keen on).

There is a Versa beside the Solo, which is also in red, so not sure if this is also a Regal bus.

This gallery shows many updates for the Harlow area, including Regal's 611 (X211ONH) on the 391 and Dart P392LPS standing at Harlow Town Station with the display set for the 250 (Debden-Waltham Cross). Probably finished its shift on the early morning 250, going up to Harlow for either a staff shuttle or to start a Harlow route.

This gallery shows Regal's new MAN/Enviro200 EU10OJE on the Brentwood 565, and on Billericay rush hour service 552 is AE55EHM, J105DUV and X211ONH. Surprised to see a step-entrance on the 552. Demonstrator Solo YJ10MBF is shown on the 31A

Hello all:
I was in Chelmsford recently, and there was a Regal Lynx passing through off a school run. It was G212KRN, still in Prestonbus blue.
Also recently I have seen a pair of new Solos, registered YJ60KBY/Z from memory. One now runs the Sudbury to Halstead routes 11 and 12.
I would be grateful if anyone could provide fleetnumbers for these vehicles.
Dave.

I saw Solo YJ60KBX late this evening operating the evening contract 250 (Debden-Waltham Cross) in Loughton whilst I was waiting for TfL service 167 (I can tell you using evening buses in Loughton is not recommended lol!) . Was the first time Ive seen a Regal bus in person in the new livery.

Also, I don't think the new Solos have any fleetnumbers yet. Here is a picture of YJ60KBY on contract route 213 (Waltham Cross to Epping), and no fleetnumbers can be seen.

Found a picture of brand new MAN/Enviro 200 (or is it an Enviro300?) EU10OJE on route 565 at Brentwood. Not really sure such a large bus is needed for this route though. I look forward to seeing it on a Regal route close to me.

Regal Busways have another Solo. This time its not a slimline version, and its second-hand. I think it maybe a rental. It was new to a company called Landylines, and has also served with Stagecoach South West on the Exeter P&R.

Here it is on the Sunday 251 in Waltham Cross operated by Regal.
