First Essex :: Latest Acquisitions
« on: May 19, 2010, 12:17:00 AM »
Recent First Essex took hold of to more Marshall Darts,
These being 43678-R678MEW

& 43679-R679MEW

I am aware these have been at Essex since at least March but thought would be worth reporting them.

Look quite smart! I do like the Marshall Capital body, especially in First colours.
I need to try and have a ride on the last few in London!

These are the ones that were new to CentreWest back in the day, and after a few years were sewnt on long term loan to Bristol Airport for some unknown reason. After this, they spent a few years in Wales.

Is that Ensign Dart one of the ones new to MTL London Northern. Because if it is, it is not unusual for two operators to have similar buses ordered at the same time, but to have registrations in the same block is unusual. This Dart and the V-HBY (registration block) Tridents ordered by MTL before Metroline bought them are exactly similar to vehicles ordered by First London at the same time.
