Thought I'd start this topic off with some massive news, of which I was only made aware of yesterday at the museum.

This weekend, Ashton trolleybus 87 is to be towed to Sandtoft, for useage at some of their Trolleydays events this year. In return, Newcastle trolleybus 501 will be sent up here for use at the Trolleybus Weekend in September, where it will run alongside newly-restored 628, for the first time since 1966.

Soon, Blackpool VAMBAC car 11 will go to Beamish for a few days at the start of September.

I believe so, as the LTPS are the custodians of 87. Maybe, when it comes back, it will not ride as appallingly as it did at the start of the season!

i have spoken with some top officals today and they have told me the following yes we will be getting 87 back when 501 goes back but it wont be imidiately, as we dont know when 501 will be going back but when it does we will get87 back it should come back sometime next season
