New model shop opens in Peterborough
« on: February 23, 2011, 09:13:47 PM »
Model Zone have opened a branch in Bridge Street Peterborough, adjacent to the Town Hall.

There is a wide selection of buses, trains, lorries and cars for sale, although I thought some of the models were pricey (27.50 for a standard EFE model).

There is quite a good selection of models with 68 buses on display, including some of the latest releases.

ModelZone is a great shop, particularly for its buses, stocking models from EFE and CMNL ranges.
I generally manage to visit the Reading branch each time I'm in town (it helps that it is two minutes wasl from where I get off the bus!)

Their prices are normally full retail, which can be a putoff, although end of line reductions are quite favourable.
Heres hoping they do well in Peterborough - they seem to do so elsewhere.

Great to see this company expanding in these tough times. I was expecting some of their stores to close down in the recession TBH. Luckily theres about 3 ModelZones nearby to me- Romford, Lakeside and London Holborn!  :)

Called into the shop on Saturday and was very impressed with the wide range on display.  Even bought a model - of a Reading bus!

There's one in Castle Mall, Norwich. Displays were very good but as everybody says pricey.
