Scania OmniCity Double Deck 599 (YN07 LHD) was seen near the hospital operating the 9 at about 1430 today.
See it while you can, before it leaves along with 501!

Two unusual sightings for this afternoon-
Spectra 722 (YJ51 ZVF) was operating a southbound Service 9 at 1430.
Spectra 724 (YG02 FWD) was seen on a service 24 towards Coley Park just after 1500.

In addition, managed to see three of the new "Jet Black" Enviro 400s on service 1 to Newbury this afternoon.  They look very smart and combined with the 26 mean that both main routes to Calcot are now operated by vehicles under six months old

Today was the last day of operations before major changes to the road system in Central Reading take place.
It follows that there will be a lot of changes to the routing and stopping points of most Reading bus services.
I spent a few hours in town today recording operations, some of the movements which will be impossible from tomorrow.
In addition, a road closure meant the diversion of most services coming away from the station, creating even more unusual movements.
Photos to follow when I get a moment to upload them....

Lots of generic silver vehicles out today:

801, 822, 1014 and 1026 have all been seen on the 9s.  This means no red Solars out at all.
819 and 820 are on the 21s

Meanwhile, a solo (either 123 or 124) was operating the Bronze 11 at 1217.

Generic silver Omnidekka 821 was on the 17s this morning.
Solars 1015/1016 are now settled into service on the TVP shuttle, with the pair seen operating within 500 yards (ie less than the timetabled six minutes) of each other down Kings Road at 0800 today.
