Enterprise Peterborough
« on: July 01, 2011, 01:50:15 PM »
Enterprise Peterborough took over operations of buses used on Local Link services as from today. The only outward difference is Enterprise Peterborough legals on the Solo's. I understand that the minibuses and school buses will not transfer across until 1 September.

I have not seen the two ex Stagecoach Darts today so don't know if the have been transferred or returned to Stagecoach.

All BMC school buses at Arthur Mellows Village Collage have now received Enterpise Peterborough legal ownership and have had the Peterborough City Council fleetnames removed. They all now sport an oversized 'School Bus' sign in the offside rear window.

Dart R802 RUD was still in service yesterday, seen parked at Acland Street coach park.

Spotted operating on service 408 Bretton - Voyager School today was an all-white Wrightbus Streetlight. I was too far away to get a glance at the registration, so I'm not sure if this is a demonstrator or one of the rumoured new purchases.

Four Wrightbus StreetLite's have entered service today - MX61 BBZ/BCE/BCF/BCK.

All carry Mistral Bus & Coach as their legal owner and a notice in the window stating 'Operated by Enterprise Peterborough etc'.

MX61 BBZ/BCE/BCK are operating on service 406/408, whilst MX61 BCF is operating on service 407.

Thanks for sharing the pic but it looks like someone from the cast of a Harry Enfield sketch is standing on the front platform, judging by his facial expression... Enlarge it to 'view original size' and you'll see what I'm getting at lol.

There was an article in Bus & Coach in May about the new Wrightbus midibus stating

"Mistral expects to have the first production vehicles available for September delivery."

Are these the first deliveries?

I am told that these vehicles are on a 20 month contract and will be kept in the current dealer white
livery.

can this be confirmed by anyone?

I have heard the same information. I have also heard that there will be a review of Local Link services ' in the New Year'

One of the StreetLights (not sure which) has been returned to Mistral for repairs and a 5th Streetlight is on temporary loan. This is MX60 GXC.

MX60 GXC is not a stranger to this area, as it was operated in all white livery by Anglian Bus & Coach, Beccles as its 327 before joining Veolia Transport subsidary Astons earlier this year.

Has anyone else noticed that Enterprise Peterborough has not put any of the buses and coaches into livery yet. They dont even carry legal lettering on the side of the vehicles. This is displayed on a paper slip in the from n/s window on all vehicles.

At least two of the StreetLites have received fleetnumbers within the last day or so.

MX61 BCE now carries 808 on its rear, whilst MX61 BCF (in true Peterborough fashion) now carries 807 on its rear and on the offside front.

Not seen MX60 GXC for about a fortnight so I assume it has been returned to Mistral.

MX61 BBZ now carries fleetnumber 806, but BCK was still un-numbered when last seen on Monday.

Talking to an Enterprise driver today (who is about to be made redundant), and he informed me that some if not all all the yellow school buses are going(BMCs) and are being replaced by coaches. One of these is a Volvo/Plaxton currently in all white reg KV03ZFZ which according to BLOW was originally new to Flights of Birmingham. This was parked up in Acland Street about to go on a school contract.

Incidentally he did not think very much to the Wright Streetlite he was driving.

Yes Doug.

6 of the remaining Local Link services requiring 7 vehicles has been reduced into 3 infrequent services operated by 2 Stagecoach Mini Darts. The Stamford service on a Sunday has been withdrawn without replacement.

Apparently Enterprise has been owned by Amey since April 8th 2013.
