East Midland Trains
« on: September 13, 2011, 07:39:53 PM »
Apologies if this has been raised before - but waiting at Offord Crossing yesterday at about 9:15, I was very surprised to see an EMT HST heading south on the fast line.  I can't find any reference to such a working on their website.  Was it a one off because of line problems or has the set been lent to another TOC?

east coast now has on hire another emt hst in addition to the one they currently have which is now actually east coasts, the extra hst is expected to stay till december then when xc revert to only two hst diagrams a day (they currently have four) and then east coast will hire one of them.

This is to cover for the classs 91 locos which are due an overhaul, the original plan was to hire a class 90 loco but freightliner now cant spare one after 90042 caught fire a couple of weeks back

hope this makes sense!
