Busway changes October 2011
« on: October 20, 2011, 10:15:36 PM »
After publicising something that never happened last time...

As of Monday 24th October 2011 a new timetable will be in operation on routes A&B.

This includes changes to evening buses with buses now departing Cambridge at 5 past each hour until 0005.

Additional journeys will also operate Monday to Friday fast from Huntingdon bus station to St Ives at 0710 and 0740. These journeys then continue onto Cambridge as service A serving Cambridge Regional College and Cambridge Science Park.

The 1725 and 1745 journeys from Cambridge to Huntingdon become service A and are also fast from St Ives to Huntingdon.

There are also changes to the return school day journeys with buses leaving the rail station at 1547 and 1607.

Can you confirm why the evening buses got put forward 30mins? Having looked through I couldn't see any possibile overlap (did I miss one?) - or is it for driver's meal breaks?

Fast buses are good to see, and it would be even nicer to see all the As become fasts to Huntingdon!

When I saw the word evening I hoped I was also going to see the words "half hourly" and "also on Sundays"

Have a look at the running times - the present ones are unattainable...

Ouch.  That's significantly slower than in 2006, and some of the time is being lost on the guided section!
