127, 128 and 28?
« on: November 19, 2011, 11:02:27 PM »
Has the 28 school run replaced the 128 school run or have Charter got another bus? According to Traveline the 128 only runs off peak and the 28 school days only, but the Herts Intalink site shows the 128 school service as still operating.

I want to come out and catch them in service at some point.

Sorry for the delay in replying! (128 school journeys no longer operate, but do so as 28, if that makes sense?)

Service 28 - Comberton VC journeys are usually operated by the Vario.
Service 28 - Bassingbourn VC journeys are usually operated by the ex-Trent "Villager" old Dart/Pn.
Service 127 (& 128 off-peak) - usually operated by the yellow MPD low-floor Dart.
The Southern Vectis Dart and red minibus are usually spare or on hires etc.

Thanks for that clarification, so the Intalink TT that shows the 128 needs removing off the website! Having looked again at the 28 TT I can see it is a two bus operation so I'll base myself in Royston in the afternoon to catch them both.
