32630 is still here - saw it last Friday in the bus station. 32065 still has Leicester legal lettering, so maybe won't be staying? On the subject of the ex-Norwich Scania/Wrights, the ones I've ridden on all run well and seem OK engine-wise with little or no exhaust smoke, but the state of them from the outside is nothing short of an embarrassment. This is what the Northampton public sees of course. To think that First were running these in Norwich, one of England's most beautiful cities, is surely proof if it were ever needed that there is a terrible sickness running through First's management from top to bottom. Tim O'Toole has to act fast and savagely to weed these people out if First is not to implode like Railtrack did. Give local managers freedom to use their local knowledge to run bus services, not accountants in far-off places. I've known this company's operations since 1963, and to see it go from Northampton Corporation Transport, the smartest (buses brush-painted and varnished) and most profitable council-owned bus company in Britain to the shambles that it is now is just so sad and unnecessary. I feel so sorry for their long-serving drivers who try to put a brave face on it, but they (and most of the more-recent ones) look so fed up. Best wishes to you.
