Swift Taxis - Great Yarmouth
« on: January 12, 2012, 10:35:35 AM »
Former Swift Taxis Dennis Dart S511XCR is now in service with new owners Shaws of Maxey. Its Caetano Compass bodywork is now mainly in a white livery complete with a blue skirt. It was seen at Shaws' premises on 10th Jan 2012.

The vehicle was acquired by Swift from Amza of Blofield who, in turn, purchased it new in January 1999. For a photo see my blog post at

My thanks to Mark Kirk for the photograph and information

Following the sale of ten of its vehicles by auction in August last year, Swift have announced that they wish to dispose of the only double decker in their fleet.

The vehicle in question is 130 (SE51DZV), a Jonckhere Monaco bodied Volvo B12BT. Originally purchased for school contract work, the vehicle has seen little use recently and is currently at Swift's Southtown Road site

Kind regards

Roy
