East Coast Pendolino Testing
« on: March 14, 2012, 07:59:27 PM »
As some of you may know, 390055 ran on a test run from Edinburgh To kings cross on the 12th & return on 13th. If the testing is approved as a success we may see a Pendolino in passenger testing next month for a short period. Then the decision will be made whether is viable to replace the 91s with pendolino's
The Train arrived into Kx around a hour earlier than planned!

I must be getting old and stuffy and turning into an anorak... because  :( at the news.  I prefer Mk4s any day...

I suppose there could be journey time benefits if they took the uppity to upgrade north of Newcastle to tilting.
