Extant Leyland Leopards
« on: April 26, 2008, 07:14:48 PM »
Hello,

At some stage in the not-too-distant future, I'd like to hopefully acquire a Leopard for preservation.
Do any of you on this forum know of any half-decent examples in the area?

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

Are we talking Foxton here?

He will only talk a load of rubbish!

Yes, Richard - I think at one time it acquired Andrews Coaches fleetnames, but I haven't seen MCL 935P for a few years now.

Hello,

I've just found this interesting site:- http://www.leytr.co.uk/easterncounties_9.htm
It would appear that she was latterly with OK Travel, in the North East, http://www.nebpoiotne.fpic.co.uk/p45750819.html

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

I don't think Millers ever had MCL 935P, though they did own MSJ 385P which was a Seddon with similar bodywork - is this the one you're thinking of, Bob?

Hello,

I'm thinking of 'any' Leopard really :). If funds permit at some stage in the fairly-near future, I'd ideally like a nice Plaxton Supreme example, but failing that, any semi-automatic Leopard that makes the right noises :).

I'm sure that once I photographed one of the Eastern Counties batch of Alexander Leopards at the former Wessex depot, in Kingswood, Bristol. I must dig out my slides...

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
