I see Leicester have "completed the set" as they have now taken Geminis 32629/30 to add to all the other buses they have already purloined from Northampton in the past.

With this in mind, does anyone know what has happened to Citybuses 38121 and 38122, these were in quite good condition and I would imagine they have still got a little life left in them.

Nuff said about 38098 which should have gone to the great garage in the sky ages ago !!!

Dennis,

Quite correct, the 2 Geminis are now at Leicester. Perhaps you would kindly thank First Northampton for putting so little mileage on them while they've been down there.......  ::)

Sure you haven't got 38121/2 as well?

Dennis,

Not in Leicester - personally, I'd be very happy to see them up here. Unfortunately, First Leicester has had a low floor fleet for very many years and I doubt that many of the 'buggy brigade' would know how to get on to them !

Would be nice to see one of the remaining Volvo Citybuses preserved.

John

With the cash strapped state that First would have us believe they are in, I don't see them spending money putting one of our Citybuses into their Heritage fleet, it would have to be preservation by an individual or group.

Perhaps the 154 group could be persuaded to add another string to their bow and save 38121 or 122 , the problem at present is what First propose to do with the Citybuses and if they would be prepared to sell one of them, knowing First they will probably transfer them elsewhere for further service in spite of their age.

Personally I would like to see 38121 saved as it is more or less as originally delivered and repainted in the Northampton Transport red and cream livery it was in when brand new as 121.
