Galleon Travel/LogicBus/Trustybus.
« on: May 26, 2013, 07:49:51 PM »
Due to the intense competition between Olympian Coaches/Roadrunner Buses and Galleon Travel/LogicBus/Trustybus, Galleon Travel/LogicBus/Trustybus, have undertaken some changes to the bus side of the business.

As for routes, they operate the 351 on a temporary contract until the end of August, one thing I have noticed is that the 351 operated by Galleon Travel/LogicBus/Trustybus doesnt serve Stansted Airport. Also, they will undertake route C3, which will run from Harlow Bus Station to Brookfield Centre/Hammond Street. Route L3 and Harlow Town Route 1 are to be withdrawn soon. #

As for vehicles, in are ex Stagecoach Dennis Dart Plaxton Pinter 2 X956VAP, X964VAP, X968VAP, X969VAP, X971VAP and X972VAP have been acquired, while sold are Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointers R745BMY, V125GBY, V130GBY, V131GBY, W139ULR and W149ULR. These have either been sold on for further use, or scrapped.
Bus/Coach of the Week: Roadrunner Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer SLF P301AYJ.

According to the latest tender results, Galleon/Trustybus will operate routes 392 and 541/542/543 from 1st September. Quite an interesting result, particularly for the 541/2/3 which have been operated by Arriva/TGM since the routes began in 2007. Will be interesting what vehicles Galleon will use on these routes.

The timetables are already up on Traveline, and times remain unchanged, except the Epping-Harlow section during the daytime will be withdrawn (Arriva extended the 541 to Harlow during the day commercially, and wasn't anything to do with the council, I think).

The loss of these routes further shrinks the area TGM Harlow covers. Can't say i'm at all bothered.

351 has not gone to Stansted since April 2013 (been looking for this topic to reply to!)

Dart MPD W572JVV was on the 542/543 yesterday. It is ex-Wessex Connect, and was looking a bit tatty in its former operator's livery.

Parked up at Loughton Station was SPD X502ADF, also looking quite tatty. I presume this was a crew bus, as it would be far to big to operate the 541 or 542/3.

There is a new addition to the fleet (hired or purchased? I'm not sure), in the form of Dart SLF/Alexander ALX200, which is ex-Stagecoach East Kent 33021 (R821HCD). coincidently, I am used to seeing this in its former hunting ground of Kent, where I live for most of the year.

Unfortunately it is looking a right state, with Stagecoach livery crudely painted over with black paint. The former route branding is still evident though, for the 'C-line' route in Ashford.

It was operating the C3 today (19.12.13).

Still looking rather tatty, R821HCD was operating the Loughton local routes 542/543 today. Surprised to see this on the route as there are some quite tight parts of the routes in the 'Bushfields' area of Loughton.

Also, S411TNO was seen at Loughton Station, and looked like it was a crew bus.

Ex-Metroline VPL149 (X649LLX) has joined the fleet. Apparently it is in red and gold. For school routes and rail replacement work.

S411TNO has been painted into Trustybus livery, and looks rather smart. Here is a picture on Flickr by 'taffydog06'.

Another of the trustybus fleet has been resprayed and possibley re registered with the registration from what I could make out as FXZ 2952,could this be a possible re registration of S411TNO ? As I'm not the best at identifying bus models

Not the best of picture but could help:

That is R821HCD. I could only tell because of the last remaining parts of the Stagecoach 'C-line' branding on the rear window.

Thanks I was wondering what that was on the back although I thought it was part of the trustybus livery due to the vinyle stickers on the window and a lot more detail on this two buses

According to LOTS, Trustybus now have 3 second-hand Enviro200s. Does anyone know the identification of any of these vehicles?

EDIT: Might as well also mention, Trustybus will be bringing back their original C3 on 3rd March between Waltham Cross (Holdbrook) to Harlow via Hoddesdon (i.e. the one they operated in their original formation, before Centrebus took them over), except it will be numbered 410/411 operating every 30 minutes, with the 411 serving Hunsdon. The current C3/C3A will be withdrawn.

Lets hope they are successful with this, as Logic/Trustybus kept changing the L3/current C3.

I heard they were ex Hanson (Stourbridge) one of the buses I heard they have is BX58 BFA, according to other sources they have BX81 BEY and YX09 FNG also I was told they were for the 542/543 route. By the looks of it there building up the short fleet along with some more Dennis darts with the registration : X501 WRG, S91 EGK and S93 EGK with the departure of R745 BMY

I also spotted if I'm correctly remembering the name a tikitek or something along the lines of that ticket machine fitted to SPD1 (SNZ 7259)

Sorry Suzy I'm afraid not it looked like the conventional ticket machine fitted to there fleet however with a touchscreen instead of a keypad and a Ariel coming out the top.

I received word that apparently all the enviro's are already in the process of being re-registered and suited up for there contract work,I'm unsure if this is true or not

According to Harlowride, Trustybus now also have two more Dart SLF/Pointers, which both have local connections: have these vehicles:

Ex-TWH P980LNDB
Ex-TGM S403JUA.

EDIT: Post corrected.

These are actually P980 LNB (not LND) ex Hunny.   S403JUA is not an ex TGM Dart (those are S3** JUA, similar but not quite!!),  S403JUA is actually a DAF SB220/Optare Delta.    The three E200s are YX09 FNG,  BX58 BEY and BFA.  Dave Stewart

One of these? http://www.ticketer.org.uk/

The machine currently in place is a tikkitek machine, on Tuesday I also saw the 351 to birchwood (relief bus) on the a120 coming straight from birchwood down on to the a120 past the Rowland ridgewell garage and onto tescos however this was due to a sticky break I was told and brakes are needed in bishops stortford (went through the ford with steam coming from the brake I heard, then this morning I was told that the driver took the wrong turn while following the standard bus then ended up going up towards the ridgewell garage on the a120.

Looks like there in a spot of bother when it comes to drivers and buses at the moment then

From a distance, I observed today (17/2/14) one of the Enviro200s on the 542/543 Loughton local route. It was in plain white. As I saw it at a distance, I was unable to identify the vehicle.
