First in Essex; Essex changes September 2013

From Sunday 1 September 2013, the following services across Essex will be changing.

Service Changes 1 September 2013

South Essex:

5 Basildon to Pitsea Tesco

The Monday to Friday journey from Basildon to Pitsea at 1900 will instead depart at 1905 to provide a better train connection at Basildon. There will also be some minor changes to running times to improve the punctuality of the service.

8, 8A Pitsea to Laindon via Basildon

There will be some minor changes to times to improve the punctuality of the service.

9 Basildon to Brentwood via Billericay

The timetable is revised to provide earlier and later journeys to/from Warley, plus an extra journey from Warley between 0800 and 0900. An additional afternoon bus through to Warley is also provided and an extra trip from Warley in the evening is provided at 1940. On Monday to Friday, the service level from Warley and East Ham Estate is enhanced between 0900 and 1000 to provide three journeys each way.

Monday to Friday

Towards Warley:

The 0655 and 0715 journeys from Basildon which currently terminate at Brentwood Station will be extended to Warley.

An extra journey will operate at 0903 from Norman Crescent/Pondfield Lane through to Warley.

The 1420 and 1825 journeys from Basildon which currently terminate at Brentwood Station will be extended to Warley.

Towards Basildon:

The 0610 from Brentwood High Street to Basildon will start instead from Warley at 0601.

The 0840 from Brentwood Station to Basildon will start from Warley at 0835.

An extra journey from Warley to Basildon will operate at 0920 from Warley, and the existing 0925 Warley to Basildon will operate ten minutes later at 0935.

The 1935 from Brentwood Station to Basildon will start instead from Warley at 1940, with the journey operating ten minutes later throughout.

Saturday

Towards Warley:

The 1625 and 1725 journeys from Basildon which currently terminate at Brentwood Station will be extended to Warley, arriving at 1744 and 1844 respectively.

Towards Basildon:

The 0710 from Brentwood High Street to Basildon will start instead from Warley at 0701.

The 1655 from Warley will depart at 1650 and operate five minutes earlier throughout.

The 1745 and 1845 from Brentwood Station to Basildon will start instead from Warley at 1750 and 1850, with the journeys operating ten minutes later throughout.

9A Knights Way to Shenfield Station

The 0820 and 0839 trips from Knights Way to Shenfield will no longer operate. The 1640 journey from Shenfield Station to Knights Way will no longer operate.

15 Basildon Hospital to Runwell via Wickford &
15A Langdon Hills to Wickford

The service 15A timetable is revised between Langdon Hills and Basildon with additional running time, with up to three buses per hour during the main part of the day after 0900.

Generally, one bus per hour will operate through from Langdon Hills to Wickford, with the other two buses per hour terminating at Basildon. The Monday to Friday morning peak period timetable is also revised, to give buses more time to complete their journeys.

25 Southend to Basildon via Wickford

There will be some minor changes to times on Monday to Friday mornings in the Wickford area.

100 Chelmsford to Lakeside via Basildon and Grays

Following requests from customers, the 0640 Monday to Friday journey from Mayflower School to Billericay Station will start back from Stock at 0635, providing an earlier bus for commuters.

200 Basildon to Grays via Thurrock Colleges

Following an evaluation of usage, the following college day journeys will no longer operate:

1510 Palmers College to Basildon
1554 Basildon to Grays
1658 Grays to Basildon

562 Basildon Chelmsford Schools

This schoolday only service will now leave Basildon at 0730 and operate five minutes later throughout.

Mid Essex:

31-31B-31C-31D-31X Chelmsford to Maldon & Burnham

The Monday to Saturday evening service will now be operated by First under contract to Essex County Council. There are no changes to the times of these journeys.

The service 31C journey which currently departs from Steeple at 0714, will instead depart at 0718

Changes to Essex County Council contracted services:

17 Great Bardfield to Saffron Walden

This Essex County Council contract service, which operates on Tuesday, Friday & Saturday only, will instead be operated by Hedingham Omnibuses. There are no changes to the timetable.

306 Wickham Bonhunt to Bishops Stortford

This Essex County Council contract service, which operates on Schooldays only, will instead be operated by Acme Transport Services. There are no changes to the timetable.

318 Thaxted to Bishops Stortford

This Essex County Council contract service, which operates on Thursdays only, will instead be operated by Hedingham Omnibuses. There are no changes to the timetable.

North Essex:

1 Greenstead to Ambrose Avenue

The Monday to Saturday evening service, which is operated under contract to Essex County Council, will be altered to follow the same routing of the daytime commercial 1A service, operated by Network Colchester.

20-20A Harwich to Parkeston local service

Most journeys will be re-timed to operate five minutes later than at present.

61-61A-62-62A Colchester North Station to Wivenhoe via University

Minor changes to running time between North Station and the High Street, to improve the punctuality of the services.

63 Tufnell Way to St Michaels

There will be minor changes to the early morning service, with journeys that start from Tufnell Way picking up all the way around the Tufnell Way/Apprentice Drive/Fan Avenue/Axial Drive loop.

65 Stanway Tollgate to Highwoods Tesco

Minor changes to running time between North Station and the High Street, to improve the punctuality of the services.

66/66A Rowhedge/Old Heath to Colchester/West Bergholt

Minor changes to running time between North Station and the High Street, to improve the punctuality of the services.

88C Colchester to Aldham

The Monday to Saturday off-peak Essex County Council contracted journeys, at 1200 from Colchester, and 1230 from Aldham, will be operated by First.

103-104 Colchester to Harwich

The Monday to Saturday evening service 104 will now be operated by First under contract to Essex County Council. There are no changes to the times of these journeys.

193 Ardleigh to East Bergholt (schooldays)

The morning journey (schooldays only) will now depart from Ardleigh 10 minutes earlier at 0818, and operate 10 minutes earlier throughout. This is to avoid the delays currently experienced at the rail crossing at Manningtree.
