Two more reserve fleet motors arrived at Northampton on Tuesday. They are a third MAN 18.220/Alexander ALX300, 22374 (SP55 EGK) to add to 22375/6 already here and a second Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX400, 18127 (V127 MEV) to join 18212. Both wear Stagecoach in Fife livery.

I saw new Gold-standard E400 15196 this morning for the first time - on service 16 while I was driving through Kingsthorpe ! A nice mode of travel for those passengers who use this route.

By contrast, veteran L-reg  Olympian/Northern Counties 16684 was on the 17.05 X43 from Northampton to Market Harborough this evening.

Hello busned  -  yes, I should indeed have said 17127 and 17212. My apologies.

I managed to get a poor quality shot of 15196 yesterday as it successfully got away from me down Bradshaw Street. It is still unbranded.

I was told by a driver that they were using it on a town service to "check it out".

Have Tridents 17127 and 17212 entered service yet?

I have not seen either of them so far.

15196 was still being "checked out" on 16s & 17s again today !

.....and Olympian 16684 has been on the 39 from Kettering to Northampton for most if not all of the day.

It is on loan from Stagecoach Yorkshire at Chesterfield covering for 15196 which has gone in exchange due to one of the Chesterfield 'Gold' Scanias being off the road.

What was the point of Northampton getting an additional Gold Scania (from Chesterfield's original allocation) if Chesterfield can "repossess" it when one of their own vehicles is off the road?

bmnpton  - The ex-Stagecoach Fife Tridents 17127 and 17212 are still parked in the maintenance line at the Main Road depot in Northampton waiting for attention of some sort. Also still parked at the depot are MAN 18.220s 22374/5 with 22376 up on the hydraulic hoist inside the workshops. Not sure what the plan is for them.
