Arriva changes in Beds & Bucks from 2nd February 2014

Changes to bus times in the Luton area from 2nd February 2014

We will be making a number of changes to services in the Luton area from 2nd February, as shown below.

The service headings link to the new timetables.

Services 5 and 15: Luton and Hockwell Circulars
These services will be replaced by new Services 5 and 6.

New Service 5: Luton - Bury Park - Hockwell
- This new service will run on Mondays to Saturdays between Luton and Hockwell via Bury Park, Dunstable Road, Beechwood Road and Addington Way in both directions.
- The main daytime service will provide an enhanced service with three buses an hour.
- Evening buses will continue to serve Church Street and Luton Station Interchange.

New Service 6: Luton - Leagrave - Hockwell
- This new service will run on Monday to Saturday daytimes between Luton and Hockwell via Bury Park, Marsh Road, Leagrave and Toddington Road in both directions.
- There will be two buses an hour, maintaining the existing level of service.
- This service will not run during the evenings.

Service 23: Luton - Sundon Park
There will be minor timetable changes.

Services 24, 25 and 26: Luton - Marsh Farm - Hockwell - Dunstable
- Extra Schooldays buses will run at 0721 hours from Hockwell Ring to Silver Street, 0820 hours from Silver Street to Barnfield College, 0855 hours from Silver Street to Barnfield Technology Campus, 1530 and 1606 hours from Barnfield College to Silver Street.
- On Schooldays only, the 0731 hours bus from Marsh Farm to Galaxy Centre will depart two minutes earlier and will be diverted to serve Luton Station Interchange.
- Most buses from Dunstable Sainsbury’s will run one or two minutes earlier than now and on Schooldays the buses  at 1454 and 1525 hours will no longer serve Sainsbury’s.

Service 27: Luton - Leagrave - Marsh Farm
This service will be improved to give up to six buses an hour for the main part of the day on Mondays to Saturdays and up to three an hour on Sundays.

Services 37 and 38: Luton - Lewsey Farm - Houghton Regis - Dunstable
The Sunday timetable will be revised to allow additional running time during shopping hours to improve reliability, with the last Service 38 bus from Luton running only as far as Parkside.

Service 61: Wigmore Lane - Luton - Dunstable - Tring - Aylesbury
- This service will no longer run between Luton Station Interchange and Wigmore Lane (ASDA) due to poor usage.
- The timetable between Luton and Aylesbury will be completely revised to improve reliability.

 

Changes to bus times in the Aylesbury area from 2nd February 2014

We will be making a number of changes to timetables in the Aylesbury area from 2nd February.

The changes are mainly designed to improve reliability by allowing additional running time to overcome increasing traffic delays.

The routes affected are shown below and the service headings link to the new timetables.

Service 9: Stoke Mandeville - Hawkslade - Walton Court - Southcourt - Aylesbury
The times of buses before 0930 hours will be revised to improve reliability.

Service 50: Aylesbury - Wendover - RAF Halton
There will be changes to the timetable throughout the day on Mondays to Saturdays to improve reliability, particularly during Monday to Friday peak periods.

Service 55: Aylesbury - Stoke Mandeville - Wendover - Amersham - Chesham
The timetable will be revised to improve reliability and the route will be changed at Amersham Hospital as shown below:
- Buses towards Aylesbury will pick up opposite Amersham Hospital instead of on the side of the road outside the hospital.
- Buses towards Amersham and Chesham will continue to pick up on the same side of the road as the hospital.

Service 61: Luton - Dunstable - Tring - Aylesbury
- This service will no longer run between Luton Station Interchange and Wigmore Lane (ASDA) due to poor usage.
- The timetable between Luton and Aylesbury will be revised to improve reliability, particularly at peak times.

Service 150: Aylesbury - Leighton Buzzard - Milton Keynes
The timetable will be revised throughout the week to improve reliability.

Service 300: Aylesbury - Stoke Mandeville - Princes Risborough - High Wycombe
- The timetable will be revised throughout the week to improve reliability, particularly during Monday to Friday peak periods.
