Changes to Clacton, Walton and Jaywick services.

Following from customer feedback and after lengthy analysis of our services, the following changes are being introduced to help strengthen the reliability of bus routes, and bring new links to areas.


5-5B Flatford Drive to Clacton

Revised timetable, the five daily return trips between Fleetwood Ave (Great Holland) and Clacton town centre withdrawn, but the main service extended beyond Flatford Drive to Brook Retail Park Tesco every 30 minutes until 1530.


7-7X-8 Clacton to Walton-on-the-Naze

Minor revision to the timetable, with diversion via Clacton Morrisons on departure from Pier Avenue between 0900 and 1440. The first Monday to Friday journey from Walton at 0705 will now depart at 0700, and operate 5 minutes earlier throughout. This is to allow a better connection with the 0745 train towards London, following customer requests.


10-11-12 Telford Road to Jaywick

Revised timetable, extended from Telford Road to Clacton Common Shopping Centre between 0915 and 1615


16-17-17A-18 Clacton to Point Clear

Revised timetable, standardised as the standard route pattern 17 and 18 all day, with the service 16 and 17A variants withdrawn.

Changes to Chelmsford and Brentwood services

Following from customer feedback and after lengthy analysis of our services, the following changes are being introduced to help strengthen the reliability of bus routes, and bring new links to areas.


40 Great Baddow to Chelmsford

The 40 will be extended beyond the bus station to Broomfield Hospital, replacing the western section of service H1/H2 via Woodhall estate " this provides new links from the Great Baddow area through to Broomfield Hospital.


41 Galleywood to Chelmsford

Minor retiming with most journeys operating up to 6 minutes later.


45 Writtle (Oxney Green) to Moulsham Lodge

Following customer feedback, there will be some minor changes to the weekday morning peak time journeys, to improve rail connections at Chelmsford station.

Two extra short journeys from Writtle to Chelmsford station will be introduced, a new early morning journey leaving Writtle Green at 0542 and an additional journey leaving Writtle Green at 0652.

Additionally, the Monday to Friday timetable will be improved with extra buses operating between 0900 and 1100 and also between 1430 and 1530.


47 Chelmsford to Broomfield Hospital

New service from Chelmsford bus station to Broomfield Hospital replacing the eastern section of service H1/H2. Every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, with the Saturday service only running as far Springfield Sainsburys.

H1-H2-H3 Broomfield Hospital to Chelmsford to Broomfield Hospital (circular)

H1-H2 are replaced by 40 and 47, providing a similar level of service with the exception of the Sainsburys to Broomfield section on Saturdays.

Peak only service H3 renumbered 72 (as part of 71 corridor)


351 Chelmsford to Brentwood

Retimed for punctuality with most journeys leaving Chelmsford five minutes earlier towards Brentwood, and leaving Brentwood three minutes later towards Chelmsford, giving more stand time operating onto and off of the service 73 journeys. Moved to stand 6 in Chelmsford Bus Station, allowing the 100 to have increased use of stand 5.
