Souls Gone Bust...
« on: July 16, 2014, 07:38:28 PM »
I've heard a strange rumour today, that Souls have gone bust and they've called in the administrators... Hope this is not true and is just a rumour.....

Has anyone any further info on this rumour?

Soul's website appears to be active and has no hint of anything amiss. I have been looking through web browsers and on news sites, to no avail.

They were still operating as normal at the end of last week, but that does not mean that they are not in administration.

Are Cunningham Coaches part of the family/group?
S50 ULS was in Cambridge over the weekend.

Believe they are, along with Nightingales over in Beccles (don't know if they're still running however) and another firm, something like Collingtree?

The website of Souls Coaches is very confusing: http://soulscoaches.co.uk/ - and that's probably being generous.

The website says:
Legal Name: Souls Brothers Ltd
but a Companies House WebCheck finds no record of this company name.

The copyright of the website is held by:
Souls Bros Ltd
but again a Companies House WebCheck finds no record of this company name.

Finally I think I found the company:
SOUL BROS.LIMITED
2 STILEBROOK ROAD
OLNEY
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
MK46 5EA
Company No. 00721052

All this stems from trying to see whether or not the company is in administration. So far nothing has been lodged with Companies House - though clearly in any situation when administrators are appointed there will be a delay between appointment and the paperwork being completed and then a further delay in Companies House updating their website.

If it is true it will be in the London Gazette (which it currently isn't).

Thanks for all the research, folks. You obviously looked much further, deeper and more assiduously than I did.

My concern is whether we are peddling an unsubstantiated rumour here.

Indeed... These rumours are generally the first sign that something is wrong, either that or "sour grapes" from a competitor.

... but not a million miles away... Heyfordian Travel have cancelled all registrations, on both licences, from 1st September 2014. Maybe something loosely connected.
