New website
« on: October 28, 2014, 09:58:15 AM »
Hi there folks, I work for an external company who help run the Souls Website (soulscoaches.co.uk). I would like to get some feedback on the relatively new site. Also I would like to know if there is any content people would like to see (news bulletins, fleet pictures etc)?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions you can offer.

Regards

Andy

Looks good Andy, very easy to use and quick loading.

Only improvement I would suggest is a more modern header image and a brighter background, looks a bit more like a history website rather than a modern coach operator!

Great work.

Agree - suggest old photo on banner should merge into a new photo.

Or alternatively that you should use the photo from the "About" page on the homepage, so that the first impression is "modern".

Hi, Andy.

The site does look good, though I agree with the other comments about the home page photo.

I think that the home page http://soulscoaches.co.uk/ should show either 'mainheader' or 'lakeheader' which are variously found at /services/ /contact-us/ and /online-quotation/.

The historic 'old-resize' might then be limited to the /about-us/ page where it feels just right.

Iv'e looked at the site on my oldest iMac (2006) and my iPhone 4s; it displays brilliantly on both.

I especially like the way that the site behaves when I resize the browser window. (See attached grabs.)

Thanks for your feedback folks, good stuff. I came up with a bit of a compromise (they really like that historic picture!). The front page now has a slider of images. Thanks for pointing out the "lakeheader" etc text too! Missed that.

A section with the list of your fleet has a fleet list like other company have done.
Please feel free to have a look at my photos on Flickr.
