Hopefully they will have correct destinations after the initial confusion of the last split.

Best thing would be:

Wisbech X1
continues for Peterborough (return Kings Lynn & Norwich)

Kings Lynn X1
continues for Wisbech & Peterborough (return Norwich via Dereham)

Dereham X1
continues for Kings Lynn & Peterbough (return Norwich)

Norwich X1
change for services to Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft

Let's be honest this is the end of what has been a very good service. I used to be able to get to Northampton and back in a day using the X1 and X4, but now having to change buses in Norwich I can't do it.

Ah, that may be the case in this specific instance, however a lot of this route splitting is to keep routes within UK domestic rather than EU driving rules.

See: Rules on drivers’ hours and tachographs: passenger-carrying vehicles in GB and Europe (PDF)

And the Forum thread: Going domestic... what's the record number of "routes"?
TCD813? The reg of a Southdown Motor Services, Northern Counties bodied, Leyland Titan PD3/4 FH39/30F (popularly dubbed 'Queen Mary') from the late 50s.
