Stagecoach Norfolk Green Happenings 2015
« on: January 17, 2015, 04:20:08 PM »
Saw this Trident, LV52ZFC 17744 outside NG's depot painted all over green. Presumably this is going to form the base of an all over advert?

I've set the recovery cranes to work, let's see if I can right it.

A last!

Blimey! I tried these techniques:
  • I downloaded the photo, then re-uploaded it. Still 'Australian'.
  • I rotated the downloaded photo through 180º, then re-uploaded it. Still 'Australian'.
  • I rotated the downloaded photo through 180º a second time, then re-uploaded it. Success!

No, I'm not sure why that happens with some photos!

Best regards,

Richard.

I've come across the same issue myself, Adam.

I half-remembered the problem, so looked it up...

Why Your iPhone Photos are Upside Down & How to Fix That

Quote from: Emil Pakarklis
[...]your photos will usually be upside down when you email them to friends who have the Windows operating system.

You can prevent any rotation issues in the future by taking your iPhone photos and videos with the volume buttons pointing down.

Versa 25271 was working the Ely Town service today - probably not popular with the drivers because of the increased size.  The first time that I have seen anything other than a Solo on this service in nearly three years.

The allocated Solo was involved in a road traffic collision, and the Versa was a short notice replacement

I saw on Twitter there would be an hour's gap while another bus was sent down from KL. What about borrowing one of the vehicles from Ely depot of Stagecoach East?

Might not be too bad - I've seen pictures of a 55 plate Pointer Dart running the service before.

Since Ely became an outstation rather than a depot in its own right, I'd assume its unusual for them to have anything up there other than the usual "run-out" needed for the duties that day?

Ely has a vehicle during the day which is used as a shuttle between the depot and Market Street.  However, my impression is that this rotates every hour and I think it comes into Ely on the 12 and goes out again the next hour on the Littleport 9 which serves to isolate the Littleport 9 from delays on the incoming 12.  However, I have never watched the workings closely enough to check this.

The Absolutely did have a Stagecoach Dart on it today 34640 in full Stagecoach livery with Stagecoach South legals although displaying the right destination screen.  This appeared to be a rather hurried loan but I stand to be corrected.

34639 and 34640 were driven up from Winchester yesterday morning, and are to provide replacement vehicles whilst the Tempo's are repainted and receive a moderate refurb (retrimmed seats I'd guess). As far as I can tell, only one vehicle made the return trip to Hampshire - 25125  8)

Stagecoach Cambridge are replacing it with their own service 15, presumably run from the outstation at Ely.

Sighted in Norwich today on the X29 was Dart 34630, which I have seen no record of with Norfolk Green - as there is the other three loaned Darts. As a result, I assume it is a new transferral.

As of yesterday, Norfolk Green became Stagecoach Norfolk under the management of Stagecoach East. Don't know yet whether the legal's will be changed, but it is expected that all future repaints will be in standard Stagecoach livery. :( :'(

That dates from the takeover of Norfolk Green by Stagecoach.

If it is now to be come Stagecoach Norfolk, I was wondering if the registered office would be the same as all other operations of Stagecoach East.
