Rebranding of East Coast.
« on: March 01, 2015, 03:40:09 PM »
Some of the East Coast trains I saw today now have large 'Virgin' Transfers on the power units, and
staff in Virgin uniforms were in evidence to assist  with the rail replacement activities.

Perhaps we should change the heading of the board?

Done  :)

On the topic of rebranding, I imagine it won't be long before a IC225 set is outshopped fully in Virgin colours, seeing how quickly they are branding up everything else including the website!

There will be an official launch at Kings Cross tomorrow when at least one full train is expected to be in the new livery.

You know... that's actually... quite nice.

Not as nice as IC Swallow obviously, but really... quite nice.

...And then there were two! The second Mk4 set to be 'wrapped' in the new VTEC livery will go into service this morning. A start will be made on the rest of the fleet from early April and the plan is to do all sets - except 91/DVTS in special liveries by August. Mk4s will be done at Bounds Green depot North London with HSTs at Edinburgh's Craigentinny depot.

A slightly more odd sighting, recievied via Twitter, is that the new MD is currently doing the teas and coffees in First Class...  ;D
