New Norwich Park and Ride
« on: March 21, 2015, 05:38:00 PM »
I have today been informed by Konectbus management that the contracts for all six Norwich Park and Ride services have been won and operating from September (ish!). This knocks Norse off of the scene, who presumably will go defunct on the bus side as they have no other services or operations, other than schools - which are provided by the fleet of coaches.

Following on from yesterday, I have today discovered that Costessey Park and Ride will no longer operate into the city centre. It will instead operate as far as the University of East Anglia.

The 'official' announcement was made at the end of last week. It looks as if the contract renewal is a big one! It includes
-The merging of routes to form cross city services
-New links to the rail station and Broadland Business Park
-£3.7m of new buses, and three refurbs
-Improved frequency.

Full report in much more detail here:

Not a problem, Suzy! If possible, put Norwich Buses Blog rather than Kieran Smith please  :)

On Friday 11 September 2015 I took some photographs of the new Konnectbus Enviro400s working the Norwich Park and Ride services which the company began working the previous Monday.
