Marlow to Bourne End level crossing users given safety reminder as new timetable changes rail services

Monday 11 May 2015

    London & South East

Network Rail is urging all pedestrians, motorists and cyclists using level crossings between Marlow and Bourne End of the need to take care at level crossings, as a new timetable comes into effect on 17 and 18 May.

First Great Western’s new timetable includes the provision of an extra service each day on the Marlow to Bourne End branch line, and some additional changes to current services.

Alan Durham, level crossing manager for Network Rail, said: “We know that when people use a level crossing frequently they get used to knowing the timetable and when trains pass through.

“But with the new timetable coming in, everyone needs to become more vigilant and it’s a good time for us to remind people to stop, look and listen when they arrive at a crossing, and to always adhere to the safety measures and advice provided to help them cross the railway line safely.”
