Hi,

Seen operating for Dews in St.Ives  on the 1st September was Enviro 200MMC YW 68OXA.   It was operating the 22 service when noted.  Believe this to be on hire at the moment.

On the same day Volvo B7TL V410MOA was on the 21, and similar W116DOP was working the soon to be no more 45A.

Double deckers are appearing n the Ely Zip service.  A Plaxton President bodied one and a Wright bodied Volvo(?) were used last week on different days. Have the Enviro 200s been used instead of minibuses elsewhere to bolster capacity?

Out my window this morning I spotted a short length (Youtong? maybe, I don't know)  dews coach in st Neots, I wonder if this was being used on the 150 as that passes me, if so this is the 1st time I can ever recall Dews using on one of their services!
If anyone can confirm if this is true it'll be appreciated greatly

They have done the March to Peterborough Amazon contract in recent years so perhaps the double deckers have been out on those beforehand with the same driver

New to Dews (at least on the Ely Zip) is an Enviro 200 YX69YWA. It is dark blue with grey stripes at the back.

There's certainly something a little odd-looking about this - no fewer than 8 return trips on a Sunday. Most of the County would be grateful for *any* sort of Sunday service. I wonder if it's a S106 requirement or similar?

Could well be as per the A2B No 32 service Hauxton to Trumpington P&R paid for by housing developers Redrow in respect of Hauxton Meadows. Runs empty most of the time!

Seen today in Huntingdon bus station operating the AW1 service to Alconbury Weald was  a new Volvo B8RLE with MCV bodywork in metallic grey with Alconbury Weald branding on a side window reg no BV22HDE

That's a genuinely strange set of services.

I think my favourite bit is the commuter service INTO Alconbury Weald for the council offices, that isn't matched by any usable provision for Alconbury residents going the opposite direction into Cambridge.  (I get that it's technically possible from the Science Park, but only if you have a lot of faith in the reliability of a bus running at the height of the Cambridge rush hour, on a route to be affected by long term roadworks.)
