Stagecoach in Norfolk - 2016 Happenings
« on: January 02, 2016, 01:46:37 PM »
Hi all and happy new year - Thought I better start a 2016 stream for Stagecoach in Norfolk, as I should think there could be quite a few goings on.

Latest on repaint/refurb is that Optare Versa 25268 YJ58VCC is the latest. See photo here: http://norwichbusesblog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/stagecoach-in-norfolk-fleet-update.html

I am told that 25270 is now in for repaint. Do you happen to know if 268 came out with a name applied above the passenger entrance? I was told that this is where names will be (as per the 5 Solo SR's and I think 1 Tempo) but wondered if it has continued.

Thanks

Funny how things have appeared to go full circle - Stagecoach now have another depot/outstation in Long Sutton after moving out of the former Cavalier depot several years ago. Never mind most the services they gave up were taken over by NG only to now be operated by Stagecoach again!

This is starting to get quite funny.

I feel Lynx should start route branding their services, in preparation for being the new Norfolk Green and for being bought out by Stagecoach in a few years time :-)

Oooh! such cynicism!

However, the competition authorities would prevent a Stagecoach takeover. Go-Ahead could have them with no problems on that front. But how often does one of the other big groups choose to go head-to-head with Stagecoach?

LY52 ZYB is now back into Stagecoach corporate colours from the NG beachball livery, seen working the Hardwick 6 today

Seems a strange decision really, would have thought the age of the buses they would just leave them now and run them into the ground, presumably the other 8 x 52 plate tridents will follow suit,

Is it being painted into corporate colours or just the seats being replaced
