For the last couple of Days , 30th & 31st December-2016 . Stephensons have been running Double Deck Buses on Route 301 between Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford .
This is the first time I have noted ( and photographed ) a Double Deck Bus on this Route , since they ( Stephensons ) acquired it from Arriva in the Spring of 2016 .

From what the Driver was saying  , a Double Deck Bus was also used for at least one round trip on Route 6 Saffron Walden to Stansted Airport , via umpteen North Essex villages . Going forward as Route 5 from the Airport to Bishop's Stortford via Hatfield Broad Oak , and other small villages . He said a number of places in the Hatfield Broad Oak area had to be "missed out" as the East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD would not fit.

Although it is Sunday 1 January 2017 it didn't seem worth starting a new thread, so I re-titled the subject line.

Best wishes for the New Year.

Regards,
Richard.
