Couple of oddities today/

Gold 15941 on route 50 in Northampton

Unidentified Corby Star double decker on the 49/50 group (Kettering - Rushed/Benford.

Seems strange to have two route 50s with the same operator in the same county.

Gold Scania 15743 was parked up in a layby on the A605 between Warmington and the A427 Oundle turn around 13:50 yesterday. All passengers were off the vehicle which has the engine cover up and was leaking fluid onto the road (I assume given passengers were all taken off the bus it may have been fuel)

aYesterday I travelled on a Stagecoach East Midlands service 50 from Rushden to Bedford. On Arrival at Clapham a large number of passengers boarded off a failed Stagecoach East service 51. Having watched this the thought came to mind as to how the fares were being apportioned between the two operators under the Stagecoach umbrella. Would Stagecoach East Midlands be compensated for carrying passengers off another operator's failed service or would it just be written off? An interesting thought. Any comments from members please?

My guess would be no money would change hands. Not worth it - and in any event both Stagecoach so all money ends up in the same pot eventually!! Would cost more to work out a value and recharge than any 'value' for carrying the pax!!

That would be my guess, too. But (to quote Fawlty Towers' Manuel) "I know nothing!"

As from last Monday there was a revised timetable on the X46/X47. The route in Raunds has been amended to include a stop at the new ASDA supermarket at Warth Park. The whole timetable has been recast some tweaking of services. All services now call at Northampton Academy.

Yes saw those two in Raunds   the decker about 12.xx and the E300 about 14.xx
was close enough to 'decker to get number but not the E300     Ordinary 'deckers very common on X46/47
but Single deckers Very rare, it was the Fist one ive seen this year

Seems to be a shortage of the regular Gold buses on the X46/X47 today. In action were the spare unbranded Gold 15196 plus 18155 and 18406.

Any particular reason for the substitutions?

It has been on loan for a couple of weeks (with instructor). Believe it will be around until end of the month
