For many years Peterborough has a seasonal Park & Ride service which was provided by Stagecoach and used vehicles from Peterborough as well as Cambridge and on some occasions Bedford. However, a recent trawl through images from 2004 reminded me that Peterborough, for a while, had two vehicles in a dedicated Park & Ride livery. The two Optare Metroriders (47988/89) were painted in a green based version of the Stagecoach livery with Peterborough park & Rode logos. They were for a Queensgate-Peterborough Football Club shuttle. The football club car park was made available for parking during major road works and refurbishment of the London Road bridge. The service was poorly used and didn't survive long. If I recall the Park & Ride logos were removed but the two vehicles retained their green livery when they were relegated to normal service use.
