Car Data Check website
« on: August 13, 2017, 08:10:41 AM »
Does anyone know of an alternative website that functions like this one?:

http://www.cardatachecks.co.uk/carcheck/lookup.php

I took a few photos at Newmarket Races yesterday and with the proliferation of re-registrations I have made too many inquiries on Car Data Check so have to wait for 24 hours before I can search for more. It would be nice to have an alternative for when this happens again.

Thanks
David

P.S. My photos so far may be seen at:

Many thanks indeed for that link - I thought it would be you that came up trumps with an answer!

Most appreciated.

Here are two:

And here are the results for Stagecoach Norfolk's King's Lynn Enviro 300 27642 (GX10 HBU) currently parked at Bedford depot, from those two sites.
TCD813? The reg of a Southdown Motor Services, Northern Counties bodied, Leyland Titan PD3/4 FH39/30F (popularly dubbed 'Queen Mary') from the late 50s.

But they won't tell you if a given vehicle had had any other registrations or when its been sold etc.
These two sites will tell you OGR 647 is a cream 2008 Volvo single decker.
https://cazana.com/uk will tell you a lot more about the vehicle.
This 2008 VOLVO Unknown Unknown on numberplate OGR 647 was first registered on Thursday 1st of May 2008 near Sunderland. It had been previously registered under FJ08BZF. This bus had 2 previous owners before the current keeper acquired it.

I have noticed that the 'Car Data Checks' and 'Cazana' websites no longer give past history of the registration number(s) carried by a specific vehicle. Presumably one has now to pay for each enquiry.

Can anyone enlighten me if this is the case or if I am missing something? Are there another websites to obtain the information?

Thanks
David

They are all the same now David. I did ask the same question to one of the sites. Its seems DVLA now charges these sites a fee everytime a request for data is made.

If I want to check a vehicle, I use one of these:

The photos show the results for Stagecoach Trident 17484

But the other sites used to tell you when and if the vehicle had changed hands etc.
