From Monday 14 January the timetable for Megabus service M16 Norwich-Stratford (East London) is changing. Some services will be extended through to/from Great Yarmouth.

This is a link to the timetable:

I have only just noticed that the Norwich-Stratford Megabus service M16 is now making an additional stops at Thetford and ‘Cambridge South, Babraham Crossroads, A1307’.

Also, the timetable has changed since my last analysis on 27 August when it was two trips operated at the same time every day (0805 and 1230 from Norwich/1220 and 1810 from Stratford).

The current timetable is as follows:

From Norwich (Bus Station) 0745 FSSuM; 1000 SSu; 1345 ThF; and 1605 FSSuM

From Stratford 1145 FSSuM; 1740 ThFSSu; and 2015 FSSuM

Times at the intermediate stops (add from Norwich, Bus Station) are UEA (+15 mins); Thetford (+45 mins) and Babraham (+1 hr 25 mins). Overall journey time from Norwich to Stratford is 2 hrs 30 mins.

'Cambridge South, Babraham Crossroads, A1307’? Odd location. Where does the vehicle turn to rejoin the A11?

Interesting. I had Google Maps flag the Babraham stop up as a possible journey to London rather than use the train the other week. Not a bad link for the Research Campus there although there's not a lot of other custom....

Yes seems a strange place for a stop, as the coach has to leave and rejoin the A11, but there are two bus stops at Babraham one north bound and the other south bound on the A1307. I suppose there could be some patronage from the Babraham campus, by request maybe.

The timetable has changed again as a result of the latest Coronavirus lockdown with the service reduced to two trips each way on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays:

From Norwich (Bus Station) at 0745 and 1605

From Stratford at 1145 and 2015
