Yahoo Groups to close
« on: October 23, 2019, 04:23:22 PM »
For a number of years I have been a member of the National Express Yahoo Group. Yahoo Groups are basically forums to exchange information in the same manner as this forum. I had also been a member of some other Groups in the past (Isle of Wight and Nova Scotia spring to mind).

Yahoo has decided to end the hosting of such Groups and the following announcement has been made:

"Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow users to upload content to the Yahoo Groups site. Beginning October 28 you won't be able to upload any more content to the site, and as of December 14 all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded".

Its of no surprise David, few people are using them these days, The Bedford Vehicles Group saw posting die off to virtually zero. You cant even find it now on a Google search. Sign of the times, members have defected to Facebook :(
