Double deck vehicles mon the X30
« on: November 09, 2018, 07:54:55 PM »
I was working at Stansted today and noticed at least one Wright bodied Volvo on the X30.  It was in a dedicated Pier to Air livery. The X10s that I saw were the usual E200s  If I get a chance on Tuesday, I will get some numbers.  I think they were previously Green Line liveried for the 702 - there is a video of BJ11ACY which was a 702 vehicle on UTube.  There was talk of cascading the XL vehicles to that service but I don't think there has been a decision on what will replace them yet..

I seem to recall that two (I think) ex (former) 702 Green Line deckers released from the Berkshire op were cascaded to the X30 to deal with longstanding peak capacity issues earlier this year, which were becoming an embarrassment (even to First!). Otherwise the X30/X10 are usually the liveried E200s dedicated to the service; though the couple released now appear ad hoc on other routes, when there isn't a vehicle shortage anyway!
