Went round there today this time in daylight amd working hours, the big yard all locked up no movement of buses, the small yard that Welbourns now occupy there was five cars parked outside the building, although the gate was open ajar all doors of the buildings were shut, maybe 15 ambulances parked up at the back, the sprinter van type, I am guessing they are doing PDI on these

Only 2 Tempos and 2 Versas remain here now

Unable to identify the 2 remaining Tempos as too far away

Rear of Hamlin Way

Two of the three Tempos that have been removed was parked next to the remaining Tempos in the picture, the third one that was removed was just inside the gate at the front

Sad end for what was once the multi award-winning Norfolk Green.

The picture at the rear of Hamlin Way where the Tempos are, the blue fence you see is what Stagecoach put up as they downsized that yard round about the time they withdrew the Spectras, between the road and the blue fence its a fairly decent size piece of land, I had to zoom in hoping to get the plate numbers of the Tempos

Once Stagecoach downsized that yard they took on the yard across the road at the front which is now occupied by Welbourns which is a slightly bigger yard than the piece of land they downsized plus it has the workshop

I hope this gives a clearer picture to those that havent been to Hamlin Way of what the set up was

In the next week or so I will go back round there and add a couple more of life on Hamlin Way

The information I have is that Hamlin Way depot is/was leased but the yard opposite was owned.

Picture shiwing the rear of the yard, the close up of the section that is now blue fenced off was where Stagecoach kept the withdrawn vehicles before they moved into the yard Welbourns now have

They give this piece of land up roughly when the Spectras were withdrawn, there was shipping containers in this section shortly afterwards which are now gone

You can see the withdrawn Tempos slightly in the background

Looking away from the rear of the yard, its a dead end behind me where there was once a railway line that run from Kings Lynn south station towards Norwich

Half way down the road on the right is where the entrance of the front of both yards, in the evening after 6pm there were buses dumped on the path all around

Whilst taking the new photos this morning noticed the rear panel door on the Versa is now closed so looks like someone has been there yesterday, but the bus hasnt moved

Hope the pictures I have taken will be of some use to those that dont live nearby and are not familiar with the set up here

Strange is this, WNCT originally was in a yard in Scania Way near Sainsburys, around about the same time as the licence above for Hamlin Way they moved from Scania Way as the site is being redeveloped, up until now nobody knows where the vehicles moved to as thsir was never any sitings of buses in the old Norfolk Green yards

This was a point I queried at the time.

The Norfolk Green address was simply Hamlin Way but WNCT stated they were moving to 18 Hamlin Way which may not have been the Norfolk Green yard.

The WNCT address shown on the notice I think should be Old Meadow Lane.

I did look it up on the map, although wasnt 100% clear it lead me in the area of the two Norfolk Green yards and the last two occupied premises at the end of the cul de sac, all 4 properties have not been used bybthem

Rumour going round that the yard has now been sold to a transport company, not sure how accurate that information is
