There was a yellow/lime Enviro on training duties in Bedford this morning. Fleetnumber 36310 Reg. LX58BZY.

Perhaps when the new vehicles start work on the Busway in Cambridge, we'll get some more cast-offs from there. I agree that the Darts are looking well past their best and could do with pensioning-off to some unsuspecting independent operator. In terms of the turn out of vehicles, Grant Palmer put Stagecoach to shame on most days in Bedford. A casual visitor might be confused as to which was the major operator!

Both new Enviro 400 MMC's 11279/80 (SN69ZPF/G) have now received Stagecoach fleetnames and are now parked in the yard at Bedford depot

Not sure about 11279 but 11280 is/was sat in the bus station, it has a different interior with blue handrails and grey/blue leather seating

11280 is, as I write, the 17.25 Cambridge - Bedford X5 with me upstairs...

Still lots of new-vehicle smell, seats are much better than the usual Enviros, good to see USB power but if there is WiFi fitted then it's not working yet.

Update: Both 11279/80 on the X5 Monday morning. Neither seems to be tracking correctly.

I had my first viewing of 11279 and 11280 yesterday. This after having 18104 on a 50 into town and being overtaken by 15444 on a W7.

This one is on loan as Bedford have a larger number of vehicles than usual needing repairs and should be back at its home depot by Monday.

Fenstanton's 5 darts will probably be for the chop in the new year with more new Volvo B8RLE's arriving for the busway. Logic would say the older 09 plate Volvo B7RLE's will cascade onto other services.

Stagecoach East must surely be looking at replacing darts at all depots in the near future as the oldest ones will be 17 years old and the newest 14 years old next year

Unfortunately, when the NEW E400XLB buses start in service on the Busway, there will not be any cast offs for Bedford !. These NEW Busway buses are Extras required to cope with the Peak Services passenger volumes & an enhanced Timetable that will be put in place.!

11279/80 the NEW 69-reg E400s are On Loan at Bedford to cover whilst the Volvo B11R coaches receive upgrades at Rugby. The Two E400s, once the X5 coaches are all upgraded, will then go to their Rightful Home at Mansfield.

Saw 11280 in the bus station this afternoon. The ex-Fenstanton Dart 34537 was also in use, on the 9 to/from Shortstown. Any idea what "upgrades" the B11R coaches are receiving? They'd be better off being upgraded to razor blades in my opinion!
