Dart 34421 (KV53 EYX) was seen parked up at Lynn bus station 3pm today

Just as I was writing this former Norfolk Green Hunstanton Enviro 400 arrived SN12 EHM

Anyone know what happened to the training Dart that was allocated to Norfolk Green think it was 34423

Steve Knight has reported that 18343 is stored externally in Kings Lynn, it could however be at charlies in Wisbech as there is ALX400 parked up at the back of the yard

There is a pic of 18343 on a facebook group parked up in a yard in Wisbech, rear side panel by engine is missing and the headlight covers are missing, can't tell much more as a lorry is parked directly in front of it....

That confirms its 18343 at Charlies then, from a distance there is a lorry parked in front of it

Thanks for the confirmation. It solves a mystery of where the vehicle is and ties up my records on the locations of all withdrawn Cambus/Go West Travel vehicles.

Correct, take the road opposite the Vauxhall garage or opposite Knowles either side of Tesco

Reported by Steve Knight

Quote
Trident 18335 was moved over from Cambridge to Peterborough earlier today and has since gained ‘Go West Travel’ legal lettering suggesting it will nominally become a Long Sutton-allocated vehicle.

Just went round the yard in Long Sutton, didnt have a 100% look as it was dark amd I didnt get out of the car, one thing I did notice that the yard wasnt full like I would expect it to be this time of night

Could it be there is a shortage of Long Sutton drivers so some are coming from Peterborough, instead of bringing their car to Long Sutton they bring the bus instead and it goes back out of service at the end of the night

Would probably explain so many Go West buses going round Peterborough at the moment especially if they are taking the first bus they see in Lincoln Road

ALX400 AE55 DKA has just run off the road and hit a lamp post in Clenchwarton, no other vehicle is on the scene other than a couple of police cars and a fire engine

With regard to the exchange of vehicles, usually when newer ones are moved out and replaced with older ones, then a sale is usually on the cards.

With regard to Go West Travel, the company has had a Return of Allotment of Shares for 21/01/2019  - check via Companies House website.

Further a recent issue of Buses had an interview with the retiring MD of Stagecoach East done by our very own Steve Knight.

In that it was commented that Go West may be absorbed into Stagecoach East, possibly at the end of this April financial year.
The most amazing comment made by the MD was that "Norfolk CC do not like large bus companies", possibly the excuse for Lynx taking all its contracts thereby hastening its departure from Kings Lynn.

The simple reason being that Norfolk like many other authorities accept the lowest bids.

Commenting on the 505, which is now rather unreliable, Andy said they thought the drivers at Kings Lynn would move to Long Sutton.
However they chose not to with the result that the service is assisted with some drivers from Peterborough and Kendal, yes Kendal.
