Other than 19599 on 2 and 19619 on 13 I did not see anything particularly interesting today in Cambridge.
Now I'm just eagerly awaiting for the scanias to be in service, now the have some of them in their possession I'm guessing they will be making an appearance soon and I'm also expecting to see the remaining ALX400s to be gone with their arrival.

Would it be fair to assume the ALX400s will turn up at Long Sutton to replace the few Enviro 400s they have on the route

According to Steven Knight Media Cambridge's Tridents are going to Stagecoach Manchester

Rarely read local news for cambridge and it was not listed on the service updates on the stagecoach website from what I could see.

Busway diversion between Histon and Orchard Park until 29th August

Quote from: Cambridge Area Bus Users
The Guided Busway is closed between Histon and Orchard Park until 29th August as work continues on the A14 bridge close to Orchard Park. Originally two relatively brief closures were anticipated, but Highways England now expects that there will need to be an uninterrupted closure. Reopening is scheduled to take place at 05.00 on Friday 30th August, according to the latest County Council announcement. (Note, though, that Stagecoach currently anticipate the closure continuing until 1st September.)

Afraid I didn't catch which one, but a ex-Busway Scania is working Kedington bound X13's tonight...so it'll probably be outstationed at Haverhill and work back into Cambridge tomorrow.

It'll be interesting to see what's transferred out of Cambridge when these Scania's have all entered service.
My money's on the Enviro 200's as they're too small for the Citi2 and some E400's out to Bedford and Peterborough to oust Darts and Tridents at those depots. But that's just my mind speculating we'll have to wait and see what actually happens.

Hopefully the powers that be transfer some of them E200s to the fenstanton depot, if they are to be transferred from cambridge.

That's a good question as Cambridge only recently swapped those ALX 400's for the Enviro 400's that were at Long Sutton. There's also that unconfirmed rumour of Long Sutton transferring to Stagecoach East Midlands with servicing being done at Lincoln.

LX09 AFN working on 3s couldn't help but find it almost surreal I've been made so accustomed to E400s and the occasional ALX400 working this route, the screen on the drivers cab was a slight inconvenience given I am slightly deaf and the seats are definitely not the most comfortable but it certainly brings some more variety to the cambridge scene.

Hi,

It was great to see Scania Omnicity LX 09AFF in use on the Citi 1 today ( the 9th ).    Interesting layout downstairs, but it sounded good though.

Brookfields stop near 202 Perne Rd, Cambridge CB1 3NX, on the direct, diverted citi2.

The Brookfields stop on the 2B shuttle (change at Sainsbury’s) is marginally closer. The closest stop for the return journey is Vinery Road (outside the Mosque) on the 2B, although the Brookfields stop on Brooks Road is not much further away and is served by the diverted citi2.

Cambridge must be very short of vehicles for the 2 as one of the ex-Norfolk Green E400s was on it all day, and then 44009 made an appearance on a North Station - City short working this evening...

Odd sight in Huntingdon yesterday; one of the older Busway Scanias (still fitted with guide wheels) was on the 30, and one of the Busway Volvos was on the B.  Pouring with rain at the time so I didn't investigate fleet numbers.

Exactly what I thought !!! AND.....6 months to do just that little bit of work !!???  Is it ESSDP they're using ???....Ever So Slow Drying Paint  !!!! Typical Council job taking 10 times longer than if you'd ordered it to be done Privately !!  Mind you, I'm Not surprised, having seen how long it took them to do the Histon Green crossroads recently !!!
No work ever done after 1500 as they had already gone home !!! Supposed to have worked 7 am to 7pm...In order to get job done.....we were told !!!!!!

Derrgh Whatever !!!  Just a glorious waste of money that could have been spent on something more worthwhile !!
