As I write this I sit on Ex panther dart KV51 KZK on the first day of them running the 114 this also happens to be my first ever A2B experience. This is a moment I have literally been waiting for since the start, I have been following this company closely but no route has ever been practically for me personally to ride which has been a disappointment. I am pleased to see how well it has loaded though I'm not so keen on the urban 90 seats! I must wish Brian and all at A2B the best of luck with this operation! The more I've heard about and seen of A2B the more respect I've gained for them!

Has the 114 been re-routed as it seems different to what I remember it being during its whippet and BGBC days at the addenbrookes end of the route?

What differences do you think that you notice?

It went down mill road which I so not recall it previously doing and seemed to cut out a large chunk of the route that I remember.

This is the route map http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/se/XSLT_GEOOBJECT_REQUEST?language=en&command=bothDirections&line=ea:20114:B::y08&hideBannerInfo=1
It goes along Mill Road between Coleridge Road and Brooks Road.

That is, as far as I can recall, the route that it has taken for many a year.

Thanks for replying. How strange, I can only imagine that it being the first time I've ever completed the whole route on a single decker (though I went on it on its first day with a2b I only went from Sainsbury's to the grafton) I saw it differently and the last time I did use that route was was on the 3rd day it was operated by the BGBC so it's been a long time.
Also I over heard fellow passengers saying that BGBC still runs this route on Saturday anyone know why this Is the case?

Yes that is the case http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/se/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?line=20114&lineVer=1&net=ea&project=y08&sup=B&command=direct&outputFormat=0
If you read the notification in N&P I posted you will see that A2B are only running it Mon to Friday.
The reason for this would appear to be that the Mon-Fri and Sat services are on separate contracts. This happened when Whippet were running the Mon - Fri 114 and presumably did not want the Saturday service so it was re tendered by CCC and BGBC then got it. Then when BGBC gained the Mon-Fri service (after Whippet pulled out from it) it ran the 114 Mon - Sat.  So presumably the Sat only service contract expires at a different date so will be re-tendered later, when maybe A2B will acquire the Saturday service as well. It makes sense for the whole service to be run by the same company
