This morning, Wednesday 6th November, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Kev Lawrence Breakfast show were celebrating the scheduled early opening – on Monday 9 December – of the new 12-mile A14 Huntingdon bypass, between Swavesey and Ellington.

More priority for private cars; more disruption for buses.

Perhaps our Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayor should be doing something about this instead of having fantasies about his Metro.  Two weeks has now turned into six months.

Well, I actually live in Orchard Park (and towards to Histon Rd end as well), so I'm actually hoping this lasts for ever  ;)

I've used the bus more in the last few months than the previous 5 years.

Yes. You currently have buses to CRC, Cambridge North, city Centre, Addenbrooke's, Trumpington, Harston and Royston!

And in particular, for the first time since the creation of the 8, to the railway station :-)

... with the peak service to Cambridge either double or tripled, depending on how you count.
