It is at Grayson's in Birmingham.

Yes:

Very near to the old Norfolk Green yard on Hamlin Way, could be the back of Scania Yard on way to old Norfolk Green depot

So I've been wondering where there appears to be 19 new Scanias replacing the 16 existing E400s at Kings Lynn.

Could this be the answer? I wonder if there is to be additional short workings between Swaffham and Norwich (going on current timings, an additional hourly working between the two would require three vehicles).

Possibly a case of 2+2=5, but...

The new timetable's now online. It's a bit complicated – hope there won't be too many confused passengers expecting a bus to stop somewhere it doesn't.

Quote
- Fast buses up to every 30 minutes between Dereham and Norwich taking just 35 minutes, with extra journeys at peak times and new evening journeys.

- A combined daytime frequency of three buses per hour between Dereham and Norwich.

- New faster journeys between Kings Lynn or Swaffham direct to/from Norwich fast via the A47 Dereham bypass, operating up to every hour Monday to Saturday daytimes.

Interesting competition for Konectbus's "Straight 8" between Norwich and Dereham.

In view of the fact that last Sunday (9 February) First Eastern Counties operated single deckers on the Excel service because of the high winds, does anyone know if the new double deckers were actually in service today?

Old double deckers today: https://www.flickr.com/photos/goodwinjoshua/49544192852/. Although the new timetable started today, I don't think the new ones were ever planned to enter service until tomorrow.

The new buses are numbered 36901-36919 and entered service today. 33805/33811/33817 have been retained for this week to substitute for any with teething problems. One of them was out this afternoon, but I was unable to see which one it was.

The XL route has been split into four variations lettered A-D. Unfortunately this means you have two services lettered 'B' departing from near adjacent bays in Queensgate.

All 19 entered service on Monday. Of the old stock 33805/33811/33817 have been retained to cover for any 'teething problems'. By Tuesday at least 33805/33817 were in service to cover for the new stock.
