Steven Knight Media  8)  is reporting that 10052,10053 and 10054 have now been transferred to Peterborough pernamently which is to increase the number of double deckers in the fleet likely due to the social distancing rules. 10055 is said to be following on shortly.

To cover these transfers, 36062 and 37221 have left the Peterborough fleet and headed to Cambridge.

The same site also reports that 19579, 19583, 19603, 19609, 19610, 19618 and 19619  have also made the switch from Cambridge to Peterborough. Also stated is the likelihood that the Peterborough darts will NOT be returning to service. So that's 34421, 34422, 34424, 34425,34533, 34549, 34771, 34773, 34834, 34835, 34878, 34880, 34881, 34882, 35105 and 35186.

Slight correction to your list of Peterborough allocated Darts. I presume you mean 34424 (KV53EZA) instead of 34224 (X224WNO) which was new to London and never cascaded to another Stagecoach fleet. It was sold to The Big Lemon via Ensignbus. 34525 (GX04EXV) was never at Peterborough. It was new to Southdown and was written off in 2012 when a tree fell on it  I presume you meant 34425 (KV53EZB). 34526 (GX04EXW) was scrapped in 2018.

In the 50 plus years I have been interested in buses the allocation of single deckers is probably the lowest in all that time. The only city route I can remember in the 60's being single deck was the 305 and that produced LC's, most of the then country journeys were LM and LS worked the longer distance routes.

I hope they are going to be doing some tree lopping as there are quite a few overhanging trees on several routes, they may have been lopped already by the constant flow of double deckers.

Seems strange watching double deckers all day on the citi 3 which passes outside our house.

With MOST routes in the city being served by double deckers, the trees in the city have taken a battering. Its not surprising that today I noticed that 10868 has a large crack on the upper windscreen.

37210/17/19 (SN64OKH/S/U) are now meant to be allocated to Bedford. However Bedford aren't using any standard Enviro 200's at the moment

The Stagecoach Enviro 400 MMC's are once again displaying destinations on the screens on the back alongside the number. In addition, they are also displaying 'BUS REVERSING' when the vehicle is reversing.

It's not all plain sailing as I had to chuckle when I spotted 10880 displaying 4 PARNELL on the back!   8)

Think Stagecoach missed a chance to do some rebranding. With most of the single deckers out of use, they could have sent them away to be repainted. Just thinking it would have been the ideal time  8)

Just because the buses are available doesn't mean the paintshops will have spare capacity, most will already have booked work during this period and we don't know what affect all this has had on their ability to turn round their volumes.  How many staff have been affected, can they run to full capacity with social distancing (whilst the painting activity has PPE etc. the rest of the activity could be constrained - we have had to change how a number of our depots work & are laid out to be able to socially distance) & is that a priority for business focus & finance at this time?
