Whippet Happenings 2020
« on: February 10, 2020, 07:10:13 PM »
New year, new thread!

A slight surprise for me this morning, was finding one of the old Wright bodied Scanias seemingly abandoned on the hard shoulder of the Southbound M11 at around 4:30. Too dark to see which one it was.

Rather than the usual two Centro/B7RLE's, Wright/B7RLE WG104 (BF63HFC) and Wright/B8RLE WG111 (BT66MVL) were both on the X3's today.

WS326 (East Lancs/Dart) PN06UYO was on the Cambs 8.

Hulleys of Baslow, Derbyshire  E200 number 4 (MX59 ZCL) has been sold to Whippet.

Also believe they have some Plaxton Primos arrive
Kind regards

“Puppy” ADL Enviro 200 (GX57AUT)-WS316 operating the Northamptonshire service on 06/06
A rare allocation for the service.

Been advised that a secondhand acquisition to record, is of another ADL Enviro 200 registered MX59ZCL (T12GAJ) that has come from Hulleys of Baslow.... Fleetnumber to be confirmed as WS329 ?

Further acquisitions to report are Plaxton Primo's  KX 57FMK,  KX 57FNK, KX 07KOA, & KX 08OLE.    The last listed will not enter service however, along with at least one or two others.

Two more arrivals noted are from Quality Line,  this time Optare Solo's  YJ 11EJD, & YJ 09MHV.

Hope this is of interest :):)

It's a sorry state of affairs if Plaxton Flymos Primos are being bought. I didn't even realise anyone still operated the hateful things!!

Any news as to what contracts or services all these new vehicles are for, or are they replacing some of the Volvos which must be a bit thirsty for council contract work.
